A package arrived earlier this week in an ordinary brown box. My 14 year old daughter Amanda asked if she could open it up for me while I was upstairs getting dressed. As I was coming down the stairs she met me half way with an inquisitive look. “What is this?” she said while holding up a strange white plastic cosmetic container. It was unlabeled with a small pink clump of something unrecognizable in it. Was this a joke? Was this terrorist activity? You might also be asking, “What the heck is Amanda wearing in this picture?”
That’s when I checked the packaging label on the box and remembered that Lancôme had offered me a sample of their newest spring lipstick shade Pixel Pink. Ahh-ha! That is what it was, a sample blob of Pixel Pink!

Thank Goodness we figured that out! But what about Amanda’s fashion statement? That is and will always be a mystery I’m afraid.
So, here is a picture of me wearing Lancôme’s newest shade launched for this spring, “Pixel Pink.” My feelings? This shade would look spectacular on someone with a tan or a darker shade. The formula is very sheer and moisturizing. It could also be a great shade for everyday, subtle and and very natural looking.

I personally would opt for one of Lancôme’s newest Christopher Kane World Tour Juicy Tubes in “Red Hot New York !“

I think it looks great on you - but then, what doesn’t? Maybe Evan, but everything else looks great!!
Amanda, you go girl!
Is IS very natural and super pretty- they really just sent you a blobby of it? How odd. Is that normal?
Oh, and Amanda’s outfit? Beanie would be SOOOO jealous!
Thanks Marilyn, I always feel goofy modeling something like this. It is just to prove that there is a real person behind this blog. Yeah, Evan deserves that comment!
*Evan sobbing in the background*
The Lancome rep told me they were sending a sample because they were completely out of any full size tubes. I was expecting more of a sample size tube, or a swatch like Avon or Mary Kay would give you. I have no idea if this is normal or not, but it was kind of funny! I was very happy to finally try this shade out.
I will tell Amanda about her newest fashion fan. Beanie is a hoot!
very nice… natural… sheer and moisturizing is always a bonus…
yup, Amanda’s outfit is very confusing… nice, but very confusing.
First off, the lipstick looks good on you! It flatters your cheeks.
I can’t pull off pinks too well, I always end up looking like some pale petunia.
Second, Amanda: ROCK ON girl! Don’t conform to society’s idea of fashion. Make your own rules.
(Ok, that’s the Bionic side of me talking.)
Thanks for the review MBB!
So pretty! The lipstick AND your picture! I’d probably wear that shade, even though I’m about as tan as snow.
I’m also loving Amanda’s fashion sense. Very avant guard (sp?) and chic.
Also, part two, thanks for stopping by my blog today! I’m loving all the new visitors from Mrs. G.
Looks cute
Thank you very much. I am going to drag Amanda over here to read all her comments!
